We got Angel in July of 2005. We searched all over the U.S. for this mare. When we decided we wanted a cremello/perlino mare, it was not as easy as we thought it would be to find one with the conformation and bloodlines that would fit our breeding program. We ended up going to Northern Iowa for Angel. As soon as I saw her pictures, I knew she was what we were looking for. Angel is in foal to Poco Zan Parr for an April 2010 foal. Poco Zan Par is an own son of the late, great Zan Parr Bar. He is one of the last breeding sons left. Angel is 15 hands 1200 pounds. Angel is registered as a cremello, but I have had her DNA tested and she is actually a perlino. Angel is also homozygous black! She can only have buckskin, smokey black or when bred to another dilute stallion, perlinos or smokey creams. She cannot have a palomino foal. Angel had a gorgeous Buckskin Colt by Skips Blue Twist on April 26, 2010! He is for sale.
